The biggest epidemic on this planet is the fear of other people’s thoughts, which causes many leaders to hurt their subordinates by being too afraid of what others may think.
The fear of other people’s thoughts is indeed one of the biggest epidemics on this planet. Many people feel pressured and worried about what others think of them, even to the point where they make decisions and take actions that they do not truly desire, just to meet other people’s expectations.
This problem can occur in all aspects of life, including the workplace. Especially for leaders, the fear of other people’s thoughts can backfire and eventually make their subordinates feel hurt and undervalued.
Leaders who are too focused on what others say can result in ineffective and even harmful decisions for the company. They may be too afraid to make different or bold decisions, even if it is the best for the company.
Meanwhile, employees who feel hurt by the decisions of leaders that are too influenced by other people’s opinions, can feel undervalued and lose motivation to work to the maximum. They may feel that their leaders are more concerned with their appearance in front of others than their actual performance.
