Growth Mindset vs Fixed Mindset: How Your Thinking Affects Your Success
In life, we all face various challenges and difficulties. However, how we approach these challenges is greatly influenced by our mindset. In this case, there are two types of mindsets that affect how we view ourselves and our abilities: Growth Mindset and Fixed Mindset.
Growth Mindset is a way of thinking that believes that one’s abilities can be developed through hard work, practice, and experience. In this mindset, one believes that abilities can be improved and success can be achieved through effort and persistence. On the other hand, Fixed Mindset is a way of thinking that believes that one’s abilities are predetermined and cannot be changed. In this mindset, one believes that talent is the determining factor for success.
People with a Growth Mindset are usually more open to challenges and more willing to take risks. They are not afraid of failure because they believe that failure is part of the learning and growing process. They also tend to be more enthusiastic about learning and constantly strive to improve their abilities. Conversely, people with a Fixed Mindset tend to avoid challenges and feel afraid of failure. They feel comfortable with their existing abilities and do not want to take risks.
