Why addressing mental health in the workplace is crucial for employees and companies: Expert insights and successful business leader’s perspectives
Mental health is a vital aspect of overall well-being and it is important for companies to understand the significance of mental health in the workplace. One of the new terms that has become increasingly prevalent is “burnout,” which is a condition characterized by emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and a decrease in work performance. Baby Boomers, who are the generation born between 1946 and 1964, may not be familiar with this term and may not be able to provide the necessary support to employees experiencing mental health issues. On the other hand, the Strawberry Generation, which is the young generation born in the millennial and Generation Z eras, often face considerable pressure from intense competition and high expectations, which can lead to severe burnout.
